Tasha Lemley

As a marketing and PR intern at Medalogix, Tasha takes on social networking, blogging, researching and administrative tasks. She came to Medalogix with more than a decade of nonprofit experience and two decades of visual art and design. She is the founder, and former executive director, of award-winning Nashville-based street newspaper, The Contributor, which is designed to educate readers about issues surrounding homelessness and poverty and, through newspaper sales, create a source of income for people who have experienced homelessness first-hand. Tasha has a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from Abilene Christian University in Texas. She is a commissioner on the Metro Human Relations Commission, has experience as a homeless outreach worker and spent years photographing and interviewing people who live on the streets. Tasha also owns a small tea-based social enterprise, Chai Wallah, that produces an authentic Indian Masala Chai and employs formerly-homeless women. Most recently, she's a budding audio producer and wants to continue telling the stories she hears.
